With Hostway you will have confidence that you have partnered with a hosting provider that follows the most rigorous control standards available.
We believe this examination is a strong element in providing our customers confidence in the controls in place at Hostway.
About the SSAE 16 Examination:SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). SAS 70 is an acronym for "Statement of Auditing Standards".
SSAE 16 is an enhancement to the current SAS 70 standard. The adjustments made from SAS 70 to SSAE 16 bring our business up to date with new international service organization, ISAE 3402, reporting standards.
SSAE 16 provides assurance that a service organization has had its control objectives and control activities examined by an independent accounting and auditing firm. The audit report enables service organizations to demonstrate that they have adequate controls and safeguards when they host or process data belonging to their customers. SSAE 16 is not a certificate, but an opinion on the nature of those controls.
Hostway's Austin and Tampa Data Centers were subjected to the SSAE 16 examination. Our data centers combine a robust, scalable architecture with an expansive portfolio of hosting options. Our data centers have been designed for security, reliability and uptime.
